How does a project get started?
After an initial meeting and upon review of the timeline, requirements, and budget for your project, Huckleberry will send a proposal that includes a cost estimate and list of deliverables. Upon acceptance of the proposal, Huckleberry will send a signed agreement and begin the Web site development process.
What if we are not sure what the requirements are for our website?
Some clients may choose to consult with Huckleberry to develop a thorough list of requirements for their project prior to signing a full-scale production agreement. If this is the case, both parties will sign an agreement specifying that you have agreed to hire Huckleberry for an initial needs assessment consultation.
How do we ensure that we get the end result we want for our site launch?
Because our approach includes the client during the entire development process, there are no surprises at the time of completion
How does Huckleberry set its fees?
The cost of a website is determined by exactly how much image work, database complexity or how much text work is needed. This can be determined only by meeting with you to scope and quantify the project. Huckleberry will then provide you with a fixed cost itemizing all cost elements.
Will there be any extra fees incurred during the project that were not specified in the initial cost estimate?
Extra revisions, change-orders, or Web pages requested by the client beyond terms agreed to in the contract are chargeable. Huckleberry will obtain written permission from client before performing additional billable work above and beyond the fee set forth in the work order.
What is Huckleberry's payment and approval process?
A 30% prepayment is required at the start of a project. Subsequent payments correspond to the completion of specified milestones and are always contingent upon client satisfaction.
How long will it take to complete your project?
From the signing of production agreement, Huckleberry averages a 2 to 12 week turnaround time. This mainly depends on the project complexity.
Who will retain ownership and copyrights for all development and design work
Copyright to the finished assembled work of web pages produced by Huckleberry is owned by Huckleberry. Upon final payment of the contract the client is assigned rights to use as a website the design, graphics, and text contained in the finished website. Rights to photos, graphics, source code, work-up files and computer programs are specifically not transferred to the client, and remain the property of their respective owners. Huckleberry and it's subcontractors retain the right to display graphics and other web design elements as examples of their work in their respective portfolios.
